Of the two island sites, one of which is now closed, this is the lesser of the two. But... it's still pretty good! It's likely best for a group of 4 or less. It's an easy put-in/out to access the site. The water gradually drops off with a mucky bottom and few rocks so great for swimming. There are good benches around the firepit and the pit is right near the water so it can be a tad windy. There were no fire grates left at this site so if you plan to cook over the open fire, be prepared. There were few if any good bear hang spots - we actually hung our bag on the closed island site. There is lots of good deadwood to the SE side of the island.
