A nice, private, campsite with very little traffic on Chad. Decent kitchen area with very nice sunset views from the fire. The easier landing is around the side of the peninsula. Plenty of room for three tents. Paddle on Trout, portage, and river were not fun, but the fishing and solitude on Chad/Buck were worth it.
Easy access to Buck, which is a walleye factory with huge pan fish in the south end. Chad was mostly large mouth bass, which I normally wouldn't eat, but they were the best tasting I have had (our outfitter said the same and was right).
There are wolves around Buck, and we could hear them at night, which was awesome. Campsites on Buck did not look as nice. More wind on Buck, as well due to its direction.

I've stayed at this campsite for two years in a row and I love it. It's very private and quite large if you know how to use it. Try venturing to the upper northwest for some good fishing off a deep cliff. It's a bit rockery/slippery for swimming, but once you get in it's deep enough to play around. So many great memories here...say hi to Wally the frog for us.

It has been awhile since I went there, so hopefully I can remember what the site was like. The site was fairly large. However, when I visited it, there were a lot of downed trees. In addition to the tent pads near the kitchen, there were one or two more down a trail to the south of the campsite. The landing was pretty good - a large flat rock that makes it easy to load and unload.
