This campsite is sprawling and spread out. The kitchen is close to the water on a point, and it is not raised very high above the lake. It is pretty open out there, with not much shade right around the kitchen itself, though you may get some shade later in the day once the sun drops below the trees.
The landing is actually a little west of the kitchen in a large canoe storage area among cedar trees. The landing itself is a narrow grassy spot, but it is easy to pull canoes up and store them in the cedar grove.
The ground in that cedar grove is not flat enough for tents. The tent pads are along a trail north of the point, and they are very spread out. One tent pad ends up pretty close to the latrine, and another possible pad is basically right next to it, so that one would not be ideal. Another tent pad farther down the trail has a nice view, though staking may be difficult because it looked like people had used rocks instead of stakes.
There are a couple other places where tents could fit if needed. The site itself is only okay, but the scenery is excellent. You can see the cliffs on the lake, and you can also climb a cliff behind the site for an even better view.

Its a nice site. And I would give it a 4, but its best attribute isn't actually part of the site. The cliff accessible behind camp is awesome. The site itself is OK. low to water, poor pads,

I remember the dust. Site dries out pretty quick and the dust kicks up. Other than than, decent site, we had a 3 tent group that the site accommodated nicely and allowed the tents to be spread out.
Decent swimming ledges.

This is the second time we have stayed at this beautiful campsite. The fire grate is right on the water with many tent pads spread throughout the area to the back. Significantly more erosion than the last time - it has been well used. The highest tent pad in the back has a large pine that is dead that leans over the tent area. Beautiful view to the cliffs. This area fills up quickly. Find your camp by noon or you may run out of options.

We loved this site. I had specifically chosen this site months before we embarked and we were not disappointed. Plenty of decent tent pads, plenty of places to hang a bear barrel, decent shore fishing spots and a huge rock face for sun bathing, hanging out, etc. Breeze kinda shoots through the narrows which was nice as well. Cherry is a gorgeous lake with cool cliffs and plenty of spots to explore. 5/5

Great campsite all around. Low lying rocky point with exposed fire grate on the waters edge in the narrows. Sprawling campsite with several good pads up in the trees. We pitched on the point as we had good weather. There is almost a second campsite down in a cedar grove with a landing area. Beautiful grassy spot but could get flooded out - also mosquitos were thick back there but could a great second camping area for a large group. The main area was bit treaded on and beaten down to dirt. Beautiful spot with views of the cliffs on Cherry.

Very nice site. The best tent pads are away from the firegrate closer to the cliffs. Fantastic views.

One of the best sites, undulating and open, kitchen down by water, pads up in trees, sloping but spread out, cliff view worth the climb out to Hanson

Beautiful site at the narrows of a great lake. The site is sprawling, so make sure you check out all the options before you pitch your tent.
