This is a fantastic site. It has views in multiple directions. On our visit there were bonus beavers coming into the site to cut down and remove small aspen trees for their lodge across the water. Treat your water!
There are lots of places on the site to get out on the rock outcrops and check out the lake or stars.
Landing 4: Easy small gravel landing on the east side. One could find other lesser landing spots around the corner in a pinch if there were some strong winds. But with no rocks on the landing, you should be good.
Kitchen 5: lots of room, 2 separate rock slabs to work on, ample places to sit on logs or chairs. From the kitchen there are partial views of the lake. The surrounding red cedar trees do a good job knocking down the wind without making it feel closed in.
Tent pads, There are 3 really good ones away from the kitchen. There is another right on top of the kitchen. The tent pads are big enough for larger tents.
Toilet 5: Easy to find, far enough back, a lovely walk in the woods to get there. Maybe you will meet a beaver on the trail. Is that good?

Open site on a point. Multiple take out spots, including a beachy option on the east side. Fire grate does not have an open view of the water, but there are amazing rocks to sit on at the waterfront.
You will see and hear traffic from the Sea Gull portage. This is not something that bothers me.

This site doesn't need anything else... maybe a better canoe garage. It's top 5 I've ever visited. Lake is way too busy on both of my 2 tips here. May 2016 & June 2018.
Definite Moose poop on the trail to the Thunderdome.

You almost couldn't design a better site. Excellent takeout, a luxurious amount of space (for the BWCA anyway), large kitchen / fire pit area, nice big boulder on the point with great views and opportunities to dive in the water. Great swimming hole. Large, mature trees in spite of mid-2000s fires. Plenty of places to hang hammocks. Supposedly good fishing all around, although we didn't have much luck in the dead heat of summer. Get your firewood elsewhere from downed trees along the shoreline!
