There are actually 3 sites on the north side of this peninsula near Chatterton Falls. The best, in my opinion, is the middle, which is the second obvious site coming from the west (the third site is up a trail into the woods and not obvious). The middle site is more protected than the westmost while also being closer to the falls and offering excellent swimming. None of the sites have a lot of level tent options, but you could probably finagle 3.

We made it to Chatterton Falls! We had a great time here at 15X for accouple nights, there is a beach landing. This is connected to a larger site, 175 at the falls. We caught bass easily in the pools, pike, and walleye in the bay. The trails in the area around the site are a fun adventure, you can walk up to Chatterton Lake on the north side of the falls, though it is a goats trail with a large canyon near the end. There is a site 185 there we spoke with some good people attempting to fish. 152 across the bay is apparently the site to be, with current great picture evidence. Unfortunately I did soak my phone, and have limited pictures of our trip this year. Our site, is good with north and west views, tucked into some cedars but it was tight, and we have a two person. There is another small spot next to the firepit. The fire pit was fantastic, with stone chairs or tables to your choice. Great for staying a few days! Thanks for the read, Steven & Ash.

Nice site. Heavily used. Not much shelter from wind. 1 ok tent pad, 1 not so great. Great cooking area. Nice landing. Several adjoining sites up to and along the falls. Not too places to hang a food pack.

15X- Stayed at this site in June of 2004. Chatterton Falls area is quite popular and most other sites in the area were occupied. This site is very close to the base of Chatterton Falls. The setting is great with a very open shoreline surrounding the site. We spend a rest day here and the site was conducive to relaxing and enjoying the scenery. There is a trail from the site all the way through Chatterton Falls. Cooking area is great. On the downside, this site is a significantly overused. There isn't much privacy with frequent visitors and fisherman paddling to the base of the falls.
