We had aspirations of going further on day one, but we stopped for a quick lunch and started catching fish. That turned into fish fry, and that turned into malaise, and that turned into dinner and camp for the night. The kitchen area is awkward and tent sites limited. Managed to also get one hammock wedged in, but the options were surprisingly few. Looks like there was a small burn on the back side (SW) of the campsite, and a decent number of trees have been chainsawed down.

Loved this site! Beautiful views, nice fire pit, cool big boulder, and a nice place to land your canoe.

No idea how anyone could rate this 5* It is an elevated site with poor landings on either side of the peninsula. Poor fireplace location. Has been used and abused unfortunately. Several down and dead trees. No way you could get 4 tent sites here. 2 max. Only redeeming quality is the good fishing back there. The following reviews are very misleading. Wouldn't let me dog stay here.

stayed here june 8-14 2012 camp site is pretty nice good for 3or 4 tents plus. but you will see other people because of portages thru the bay. point is open and airy. fishing was pretty good most days .

Great campsite in the trees, but with open areas for good "ventilation" for keeping bugs at bay. great overlooks of two sides of lake..fantastic bass fishing

This was the Valhalla! for our trip. Great landing area, three dimensional camp area. Great bass fishing south of island!

Park-like setting with several tent sites. Nice landing on North side.
