This campsite does not appear correctly on many maps. It is shown at the back of the bay, but it is actually located at the tip of a point on top of a very tall rock. I couldn't find the campsite back in the bay and was assuming it had been closed. As I was leaving the bay, I decided to climb to the top of the rock just to see the view. I was shocked to discover the fire grate up there. The landing is on the north side of the point and is partially blocked by downed trees, though it is still usable. From the landing, there is a very steep climb up to the campsite. The fire grate sits at the very edge of the rock and offers an exceptional, unmatched view of the lake. Beyond that, the campsite is very bare bones. There is possibly one tent pad, but soil depth is minimal, and staking would be difficult. This site is adjacent to a burn area, and I did not find any viable hammock options. The latrine is back in the burn area and appears lightly used.
