Large sandy beach landing, a small climb up to the site. Creek runs just to south of site. There was lots of evidence of recent moose on our visit including prints and droppings.
tent pads: 4 rating, the 3 good ones are spread out and mostly rock/tree root free
kitchen: 3 rating, smallish, not enough flat surfaces to work on
landing: 5 rating, huge beach
water: 2 rating, the beach kicks up sand, the place by the creek mouth is rocky and cramped
shade: 5 rating, lots of trees to keep sun off on a hot day
view: 4 rating nice view north up Agnes from the beach, but not much to see from the kitchen area.
ventilation: 2 rating, lots of trees impede airflow and nearby creek will make site buggy in summer,
facilities: 3 rating, enough if ones wanders to find the perfect spot.

Stayed here for 3 nights in 2008. This site is HUGE. Has a beautiful sand beach, lots of really nice tent pads, an excellent fire pit/kitchen area. We call this the Boy Scout site because BS troops use it frequently. This site is perfect for larger groups. It is close t Louisa Falls, and is a short paddle from the islands up north in Agnes. Lots of good trees for hammocks. We really enjoyed this site. I tried to camp here again in 2010, but a group got there just 10 minutes before we did. Stayed at this site July 2005. It has a beautiful sand beach and sandy swimming area, which is a rarity. Its surrounded by a swampy area which made the bugs terrible. Not enough places to go to the bathroom - you could almost smell it. Heavily used site. The sand is nice and it's close to Louisa falls, but overall, it marginal.
