A beautiful site that requires a reservation. The landing for the is site is a wide sand beach that is fine for swimming or fishing from. There is a newer picnic table and fire ring with a grill. There are trees for hammock hangs at the perimeter of the site and a few level spots for tents. Fishing requires special permission and additional regulations but is not restricted by traditional fishing seasons. You'll have to check in at Escanaba Lake Station if you want to fish, however the bass fishing is bountiful on this small lake. Sites on this lake are fairly disconnected from the paddle and portage trails.
