Close to campsite perfection. Set on the entirety of a small peninsula this campsite is elevated with commanding views of the lake. Its height receives strong and steady breezes from the north, south, and east that can cause windswept conditions but otherwise clears biting bugs out of the site. The forest is white pine and there are plenty of good trees for hammock hangs. A sand beach wraps around the site and is ideal for swimming. The water depth falls off after 30 feet, so it is a good fishing shore as well. The fire pit is new with a retractable grill. The picnic table is level and central in the site. There is not much privacy in the site, hang a shower on the uppermost tier for the most privacy. A paved highway is nearby and sounds of the highway do detract from the pleasure of this campsite. The site's height can be a challenge to reach, completely unload your canoe to avoid back-and-forth up the steep approach.

Okay site. Very easy to reach from the landing, but also very close to County Highway K.
