The landing to this site is very steep and when the rock is wet it is very slick. When up in the site it is a great view of the lake below. We were able to find spots to set up 3-3 person tents and one 2 person tent. Good kitchen area.

Just stopped for a short break but I would stay here if solo or a small group. Difficult landing because of the steep, slippery rock. Beautiful sunrise views. A couple of tent pads that are fine.

I like this site and plan to stay here again. The super-steep banked Daytona 500-like landing is terrible. But if you can negotiate it, the sloped rock rewards you with unparalleled sky viewing on bug-free nights laying at the perfect angle. Two solid hammock sets and three plus tent pads. Nice, elevated views of an almost switchback corner on the lake. Great for people-watching when busy. Almost no firewood as of August 2022 in and around the site. You'll have to venture through the woods or go for a wood run across the lake. If you're nimble and have the quads for it, take a look and I'm certain you will like this site.

After sort of stumbling our way across the BWCA line shortly before midnight, it was a bit of a trick working our way down the river. There are plenty of little coves to get turned around in and plenty of rocks to avoid in the dark. We finally found our way to this campsite sometime before 2:00. It definitely was a little disorienting! The site was fine, nothing too special. It sits up above the water a bit with one or two decent tent pads. It's close enough by the back bay to get buggy mid-season.

No good place to land the canoe that we could find. We landed out in front of the site, which is a challenging climb up - would be really tough when wet. A few nice tent pads. Elevated view from the kitchen, but the lake is not very scenic. Some good tent pads. Because of the landing and the lake it is on, rating it 2 stars. If it had a decent landing and was in a more desirable location, I would rate it 3.

Didn't go into site but the landing looks challenging...a big rock to get up before you're into the site.

Challenging landing. Elevated grassy/buggy site that provides good views, unfortunately the lake is more like a river here. Should be blueberries in season. There was a fire on the opposite shore which provides an excellent place to gather firewood.
