We were happy with this site, but we only had one tent...you can definitely fit more tents here, the site is quite big, but the other pads are pretty lumpy, and one of them risks a wet floor. Good fire pit backed with large dome of bedrock, several good bear-hang trees. Notably, there's no beach but the rocks were pretty slime-free and it made for easy swimming. Despite what other reviewers say about good landing for several canoes, that was not our experience...we were here when the water was quite high (up into the tree line), and landing more than our one canoe would have been sketchy. Like I said, we were happy enough with this site, but after exploring the lake a bit, we would have been better off on the site closer to the Art Lake portage.

This is a three-level campsite that I rate a solid 3 star. Some might even call it a 4 star. We put our tent on the top level, the campfire area is on the level below that and the area we used as a kitchen was just below the campfire level. Pretty decent landing with plenty of room for the canoes to be stored overnight. Great view of Rawn facing east. Even a grassy area for your chairs or a tent pad. The site gets a lot of sun in the morning, but you won't see the sun set in the evening due to the trees. Caught a couple walleyes off the shore in camp. Of the three campsites in Rawn - the two island sites and the one on the far east end - I would consider this the 2nd best of the three. (The one on the far east end is the nicest site, IMO.)

We set up here but had a fierce SSE wind that was blasting us - even the tent pads back in the woods were getting the wind-tunnel effect. Did something we've never done before...ate dinner, tore down camp and paddled until dark to find a sheltered site. Probably a decent site 99.9% of the time.

Easy put in on the SE side of the island. Great fishing from shore. Bugs were bad at sundown but we visited in July so that is expected

Great island site. SE side is best for in/out. Nice fire pit and wonderful views of south/east/west. Great bass fishing in the bay at the art lake portage. Caught a lot of big pike all around the island. Great place to spend a few nights.

Large island site on a southeast facing point. Good views to the east, good takeouts on the north, east, and south sides. 3.5 stars

Site is on the East end of the island. Room for 3 tents. Nice protection from a West wind. Good fishing from shore. Easy access to Rawn Narrrows and Art Lake. Nice pull out for the canoes on the SE side of island. Only downside: the site is not wide open...rocks make for up and down...a couple fallen tree split the site.
