Cozy site, fair landing, poor canoe storage.

Good site. The red pine had been sawed back. Nice rock ledge near the fire pit. Lots of room. Had to carry packs a pretty good way from landing. The lower fire pit near the rock wall looks like it's rarely used. It's probably more for winter camping and I would guess its been there in some form for hundreds of years.

I agree with Eric_G comments in 2005. The large red pine still blocks the path from the landing to the main site. It was a great site with lots of room and a great fire pit.

Campsite is elevated and offers great vistas of Emerald lake. The landing is OK - it would be better but a huge pine blocks it from easy access. The fire pit is about 100 - 150 feet back from the landing. Actually there are 2 fire pits. The main one is exposed on the cliffs. The other one is set back in the woods against a huge rock face. The site has several trees that can be used to hang a food pack. When I was there I found the site to be pretty clean and not overly used.
