Came off the west portage to find a big south wind and rolling waves. This site is almost directly across from the portage and protected from a south wind. We took refuge here for lunch but with a little work to clean up the firepit it turned out to be a great site even for a big group of 8. It sits high off the water

Stopped by this campsite but moved on. Viewed from the lake the site looked almost nonexistent. I don't think it had been used in a long time. Very poor canoe landing.

Poor landing that recquires awkward lifting of packs to unload canoe. 2 tent pads also not too good. Fire area ok. Kitchen furniture in place (table and bench).
