Muskeg is a really unique lake, and this is its only site; my rating reflects those two facts more than the quality of the site in itself, though it's certainly a solid site. It's elevated and open with a nice view to the west, which should help with bugs; the landing is accessible but not optimal for swimming. There isn't a lot of real estate here, so tent pad options are limited. A pine came down over the thunderbox recently, but I cleared some branches and it is usable.

This site is decent enough, but I lower it a star because there are a ton of hazardous Jack Pine hanging over the site now. I wouldn't stay here.

A pretty decent solo or two person site. Good protection, nice elevation and a good layover before the challenging portage to Kiskadinna. Caught a couple of small fish. Beaver action. Interesting split lake burn area/mature.
