This is an island site in the mid-northern section of McKenzie Lk. Not a great site, but welcome after the Cache portages. The island is narrow, yet there was places for two fire rings. Boats could be landed on either side of the island, great views of the sunset and moon-rise. In addition there is a more primitive site at the southern tip of the island. We caught fish from both sides of the island. The island site is amidst a cluster of islands, and in general, is subject to the McKenzie winds, prevailing from the west-northwest. Not the best place in a storm. We were there in June, 2005.
