Great views , high rock point. I was 8 feet away, in my tent . Filming when the giant red pine snapped 10 feet up

Spent two nights here, mice live in the 10 foot topped off tree next to the fire ring (four came down the side of the tree trunk at dusk). Tall pine east of the fire ring has a crack from the base up through the middle (next major storm may bring it down). Notified the rangers about the tree.

Decent site. Rode out a severe storm here that broke off a giant red pine, taking a cedar with it. Well-used.

The Bonsai Site. Not the best landing area, but nice for tents and a nice view of the lake. Walleye fishing from the site.
