A serviceable enough site. Just not the first choice on the lake but will do if the two good sites on the main lake are occupied. The take-out isn't great but entirely manageable. The water on the south part of the site is deep enough for semi-shallow dives after descending down moderately steep rock. Some sun and some shade. The island has a fair bit of inhospitable territory caused by deadfall. We were able to fit a screen tent, tent and two hammocks and still have decent space. Superior to the small island in the channel between the Quetico and Jesse portages to the south.

Hard to see from a canoe. Landing on west end of site. Nice open area catches some breeze and afternoon sun. The one good tent site is protected from strong winds. Close to marshy areas; insects were occasionally a problem. Can walk to smaller island on the east side.

Nice site with all amenities. Lower tent site could be prone to water. Easy access to multiple good fishing sites. Away from wind but open enough to keep the bugs down.

Nice campsite. Stayed here in 2008. Decent tent pads, lots of firewood. Nice open area to bask in afternoon sun.
