This site has a fairly easy access/unloading area. It has a very small tent pad area, really only 1 or 2 tents can fit comfortably (unless you like to camp on flat rock, which I do not). The camp "kitchen" and fire pit area is too close to the tent pads for my liking. There were lots of mice/voles at this site and you could hear them scurrying around in our gear that was outside the tent. The views and swimming at this site make it absolutely beautiful though. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, and a view of Silver Peak. Good trees for hanging your food at this site. A convenient location to do some fishing in the small bays on Johnnie, and also to go to Ruth Roy for a day trip / swim.
