Right at the entrace to the portage to Greer Lake, this campsite has been a real boon to me during the 8 years that I worked as a "Charlie Guide" at the Scout Base. You can takje the shortcuts via Greer Lake in order to avoid the traffic around Wheelbarrow and Lower Basswood Falls. Plus, it is just upstream of the pictographs.
