You could have 40 tents here. Biggest site I've ever seen, and for obvious reasons. The ranger buildings have metal roofs so they are holding up OK. Expected the float plane to come up to the beach but they dropped off in the water just offshore. 4.441 stars.

June 11-12, 2011. This site's fireplace is very close to the sand/gravel beach and right next to the easternmost of the old Ranger Station buildings. Good fireplace and seating, several tent placement options, ample firewood and sanitaion opportunities, including the old outhouse that is still functional. Beautiful old pines, great views, rocks to fish from or sunbath on. Bath and swimming opportunities. NOTE: between this site on the south and NN on the north, there are at least 3 other fireplaces and almost unlimited tent placement sites in the open woods. Site of the former Ranger Station.
