Love the site, gorgeous views of Moon Lake, two boulders on the water to fish from, a very large tent pad about 9’ x 9’ on West part of site that is shielded from the wind, stayed here for two nights and had an amazing time with my dad and brother, our second trip to the boundary Waters together, several campfires, caught a few bass from the shore and from the canoe, definitely the best site on moon and my second favorite campsite in the boundary Waters separate from the island camp site on Gaskin Lake. BONUS: excellent oak tree to hang your bear bags from.

Decent site. Not the best but not the worst. We came down from Gogebic and found all the sites on Caribou were taken so we were very glad to get to Moon at about 6pm and find this site open.
Has two flat tent pads and an OK fire grate area. Unfortunately the dickweeds who used it before us saw fit to try (and fail) to burn their garbage (including an entire foil pouch and about 50 cigarette butts) as well as throw a zip-loc in the pooper. Their presence also contributed to some very friendly rodents, one of whom tried to steal an entire graham cracker from 2 feet away from me. Still, this is a solid option if Caribou is full as the two easy portages were enough to separate us entirely from the crowds.

Visited this site, but turned out to be taken. Not a great site, but would have hung my hammock if it would have been open.

Probably the best site on Moon lake? Not much to choose from. Not many if any "good" spots for a tent. Lots of lumpy ground. A fair amount of traffic passes by.
