As of 2026 the portage ends in the middle of the site, so the campsite is potentially limited on privacy. Next to the fire ring there is a large pile of old cans and other rusted objects. Some cool artifacts, but unfortunately there was also some broken glass and trash mixed in. Was also an exceptionally buggy spot. There's a nice beach but there's much better options on Fred in my opinion.

Small site with a big sand beach. 3 1/2 stars. The Cutty Creek portage runs through the site, so privacy may be limited.

We spotted this site on 6/27/05, heading to the Fred to Cutty portage. This is a small site but it's really nice with a large beach area. The cooking are a is good and someone had built a small table and shelf. May be able to get a second tent up here.
