Small, shallow water landing. Average firegrate area near the water and very grassy (i.e. potentially buggy). A very nice tent pad just behind the firegrate and s grassy but sloped spot near the lake. Also, another could be crammed under the nearby trees but it would be quite bumpy (rocks/roots). Almost certainly will have alot of traffic passing by from people heading to/from Pine Lake -Johnson Falls area.

Small campsite that is great for soloists. This is 3 stars for a solo or 2 people, but is not is a good site for a larger group. Nice gravel landing for one canoe. Decent tent pad near fire grate.

Nicknamed "Two Stumps" - we camped here as other sites on the lake were taken. It wasn't well used, and was relatively small. Not a lot of great trees for hanging a tarp over the cooking area. Seems like maybe the "hazarous trees" mentioned in other reviews were taken down. Fishing on Canoe wasn't particularly good, but we did have luck pulling in some smallies on Crystal Lake nearby.

I wouldn't say there is anything special about this site. Mediocre landing, hazardous trees overhanding the front, and pretty choked off and small. The view is good though and it worked well for the night.

Trail to the latrine is straight up, makes going to the bathroom tough at night. Solid campsite with an easy entry/exit.
