I could be wrong, but I do not think this site exists anymore. We sat in this opening for a break, and it is for sure a scenic, elevated view. But saw no fire ring nor any sign of camping here.

Small flat ridge overlooks beaver pond to north. Very scenic spot. Nice Red pine. Lots of pond activity: beaver, usually moose, smaller animals. Located on portage trail. No fire pit. Hard to get water; beaver pond not a good choice for drinking and end of portage south is so shallow you cannot dip water. I've stayed here twice over the years, too "pooped" to go further. Did not see other travelers while there, and watched moose in pond to north, both times.
