This site did not burn and is probably the best option on Veron since the fire.

Nice island site on the eastern edge of the island. Canoe landing spots on both north and south, but we liked the north one a bit more. We got pummeled by a cold east wind when there, but under more normal wind conditions would be very nice. Good shore fishing from site.

Site is actually on the easternmost point of the island. Stopped here for a night in Oct 1984, so the memory is dim about details. It was up off the water and had a fairly large open area.
