stayed a few nights here in 2022 i believe. it was july. hot hot hot and horrific bugs. every type of bug was out in full force. this was the only usable site i could find on this lake. i enjoyed it. good protection from storms out of the west (i had some pretty severe weather pass thru one night). sloping rock (slippery) to the water. i never carried a tarp then and i cannot remember if it would have been useable on this site. i could be wrong but i seem to remember it was fairly wide open. had to build a cooking fire out on the rocks to get out of the bugs. fishing was not great. small pike. a few smallies. lots of very good critter siting on the way in. even came across a large bull moose having his dinner in the lake when i arrived. priceless. i dont think this area sees much traffic. anyone coming thru is probably making the long trek to / from Cache.

Passable, but not a great site by Quetico standards. This lake has more of a true boreal forest feel to it, so does not have the red pine forest floor that makes some sites so great. It is out on a rocky point so the views are decent to the north, east, and south.

Small site, good takeout, two good tent sites. Small site. 2 1/2 stars. (This could be 1VM, but this site is on the SE side of the island. I did not see anything at PCD map location of 1VM)
