i was in the same situation as the previous review. i had to get off the lake due to severe winds. i also liked this site. my tent / tarp were fairly well sheltered from the winds, there was a ton of avail fire wood, a small fire pit, and easy access to/from the water. what more do you need. def not a 5 star but more than fine for a night.

We stayed here as a last-minute/emergency campsite and it was actually pretty decent! We were pleasantly surprised, there's a small fire pit and some logs to sit on. There are two tent pads which are quite grassy but flat. There is also a passable rocky "beach" area for swimming.

Sheltered from west wind, lightly used. Decent, protected landing; grassy, flat tent sites.
