I'd give this four stars for one tent, three stars for two tents, and zero stars for a bigger group. But for the two of us it was a great spot to park for a long weekend...off the main canoe route, so no traffic. Good level bedrock take-out, one good tent pad, plenty of firewood, good food hang, and reasonable swimming. Lots of bass in the area, nice breeze through the site, and a gorgeous morning sun. Only real complaint is that the toilet area is getting pretty full....

On the west side of the island, there is a natural granite breakwater. When we were there, the granite ridge was just below the surface and created a semi-calm pool right next to the island. The kitchen is on the east side of the island, right next to the lake, and has a nice view. Someone made some stone chairs around the fire pit. The tent pads are scattered around the island. The island itself is fairly small. I'm not sure where you would put the latrine.
