I liked this site. The big slope is a distinctive feature, and it has perks. It's elevated and open enough for bug-dispelling breeze. Lots of space for reclined sitting or sunbathing. The views are wide and amazing, especially of the southern islands and rising hills beyond the shoreline. Tarp options probably are limited, but there are a couple perfectly fine tent pads. It's probably not a spot for a stormy day, but the pads are protected. We didn't have any trouble landing or stashing canoes. It's not your stereotypical or classic site, but it's memorable and has the features to deserve at least 3 stars. It's a lake with a rock named after it, after all! Embrace the rock.

Stopped for lunch, landing is flat out awful. Small site, no shade for tents, overgrown, fine for lunch but you don't want to camp here unless you have to.
There was a rope on the north side of the island though to swing out and drop into the water from. Didn't try it, don't know depth of water so be sure to evaluate carefully.

Sloped to the lake, open, hard to tarp options, tent pads moderate, they're in the trees.
