This is the largest campsite on Hub Lake.
The landing is the easiest on the lake, consisting of a smooth, flat rock with multiple places to pull up a canoe.
The campsite itself is fairly open and sits mostly on sloping rock. I found three good tent pads clustered close together, and you could fit up to five tents total if needed, though it would feel cramped. The kitchen area is grassy and has a good view of the lake. This site can be very buggy depending on wind direction – it is protected from the west, and it was very buggy when I was there because there was no breeze.

Significant blowdown behind the campsite itself made it difficult to find or get to the latrine. Other than that it is a fine site. Caught Northern Pike while shore casting from this site.

I give this a 4 because it is such a relief to find a decent site after a long day culminating in the 300 rod portage up hill from Fente to Hub. We had a group of nine and it was just big enough. The sunrise view is a great one. There was a set of large moose antlers hanging in a tree there. We enjoyed them and left them for the next lucky visitors. Again a 3 upgraded for other reasons.

Great views but the site is a little cramped and rugged feeling. Path to latrine was initially blocked by fallen trees. Biting flies were thick when we were there. After a long day culminating with the portage to Hub from Fente this was perfectly adequate. Fit three tents.
