Just landed to check it out while camping on the island site but I was positively impressed. This is a picturesque site with a beautiful view right on the lakeshore. Very good for a small group willing to deal with some breeze and there are a couple of more sheltered options a bit back from shore. The biff is private but gets breeze so the bugs are less of an issue than at most. Fire grate is simple but iconic, right on the lake...not great for inclement weather but perfect to keep the skeeter off you if the sky stays clear. Would definitely camp here if the opportunity comes again and not worry about the nearby portage one bit. We saw one canoe in five days between Wine and Zenith, even this site is remote and secluded. 4/5 because poor weather might ruin a visit here.

This is a nice campsite with a shaded camp kitchen by a pair of white pines. The view out into the lake is another good one. The only downside is that this is the closest campsite to the portage

One of my favorites sites, nice and flat, good fire grate, nice place to hang a tarp or hammock.

Nice landing - rock shelf we could just step out on. There is also a boggy area around the corner for pulling the canoe up. The site has a nice view of the lake. The best fishing in the lake is out in front of the site. Overall, it is small and compact, but nice, especially for a remote lake.

Great, flat site with plenty of trees and a nice canoe launch. We stopped in for lunch here on a day trip.

A very nice site. Flat with good tree cover. A decent canoe landing and the best shore fishing of the 3 sites on the lake.
