For such a remote campsite, this one is a gem. The landing is okay but somewhat difficult, with no flat rocks to get out on. I tied my canoe to a tree, as there wasn't a good spot to pull it up. If staying overnight, you could likely pull the canoe up onto the slope, but quick in-and-out landings would be challenging.
The campsite is surrounded by white pines and completely covered in pine duff. It is very scenic and sits on a small, quiet lake.
There is one good tent pad, though staking may be difficult due to rocks. There is another possible tent spot along the latrine trail, but it is lumpy and I wouldn't call it a good tent pad. There was no seating around the fire grate when I visited, and someone had left a moose skull in the fire grate.

Gave this 3 stars only because we were GLAD to find it empty as we had hoped..otherwise, you are humping it back to Cap, or Boulder, or Hoe..or worse yet, bushwhacking it as we witnessed 3 couples do back in 2010. If you like isolation, you'll like this camp. Tent pads aren't fabulous, but adequate, and you "could" put three up there. Be prepared to walk on the slope-

How hard is it to use the latrine 30 seconds down the trail?
Some user left HUGE wads of used TP and a big poop right in the tent area.
