There are two landings at this campsite. One is directly in front of the site and the other is off to the side. Both are rocky and somewhat difficult, but the side landing is wider and easier to use.
The campsite is small and shaded but does not feel overly tight or claustrophobic. The shoreline brush limits views of the lake, though it does provide shade.
I found one good tent pad, though it is slightly slanted. There is another tent pad near the kitchen that is lumpy and uneven, which I would not call good, but it could be used if needed. Seating around the kitchen consists of large logs. A small sand beach is located in a nearby cove to the east and would be easy to paddle or swim to.

We were looking for shade on a hot, sunny day and found it here. Not much for a view of the lake, but comfortable and a fine harbor. Caught a few lake trout casting from shore.

Small site tucked into the woods. Nice site if you want to get out of the wind but a bad site if you are looking for water views from the fire area. Rocky tough landing no matter which side you use. You can hear the campsite to the west. Makwa is a beautiful lake with great lake trout fishing.

Date of visit is an approximation. Was early fall of 2012.
Used site with USGS research team. Accommodated 3 tents, but it was pretty tight. Not great boat landing area with shore being primarily boulders. During low-average water, there is a beautiful sand beach you can walk or wade to north of camp. Stunning sunsets over Makwa. Really pretty but somewhat tight campsite. Would recommend to any group with 2 tents, maybe 3, but this visit was 5 years ago.
