River right channel  around this island is a carry over bunch of rocks and blocked.  The river left channel is runnable.  It has a rock ledge in the center.  Good tongue on the right side but with low problematic sweeper.  River left is what I went for and a group behind me the next day.  Once you go River left tongue about 10 yards further a barely submerged just barely out of the water rock goes wide across the area.  I ended up high centered on it.  Stepped out calmly and was able to pull canoe to downseptream side and get back in.  Of a group the next day 1 canoe barely missed it. 1 canoe hit and bounced around. 1 canoe got dumped.  Easily avoidable just be ready to move towards river right as soon as you are coming down the tongue.
