Impassable

Unless something has changed, the group I lead did this portage in 2023. I found what seemed to be the beginning of the trail on the Lady Evelyn side, however it did disappear. We then cut a trail through some evergreens to the wetlands. We were lucky that it was dry so we were able to walk through the clearing. I did notice a pretty flat area that looked like an old logging road to the south of the wetland that maybe used to portage when water levels are higher. After the wetland we came to an old logging road which we walked along to the pond between the three portages to it. As for the portage going north from the pond, I tried looking for a trail in the bush with no real luck. Found a bunch of old scattered trail blazes but nothing to string together. The best way north is along the bouldery river bed. It was dry when we were there but it could possible wetter in higher water making slipping a possible danger. So it is passible but it may take some way finding skills. Hope this is useful info. Again this was 3 yrs ago so might be out dated. P.S. someone of my group put down his paddles when taking a rest and forgot them. so after finding our way to the pond it took him 1hr to find them lol.
