There was a bunch of beaver activity and some logs right at the base of the portage, which made landing a little tricky, but fine. You have to lift the canoe up to a steep ledge at the beginning, as others have noted, but after that it's a really pretty and magical little walk.

entrance from Gaskin has a small landing and very steep first rod. After that a slightly rocky, narrow but short walk to Jump. Decent landing at Jump.
