*2025 Update*: I last saw this portage in 2020 and it was in rough shape. Not marked and many trees down. Since then, the Park has been through here a few times with a chainsaw crew, so in great shape. They re-routed the south entrance further north, closer to the end of the bay, to avoid excessive dead fall. I knocked back some new jack pine and added a rock cairn up on the ridge, so it is easier to spot from the water. The rest of the trail is easy to follow through the new jack pines and marked with rock cairns when going over the granite outcrops. I don't recall adding any orange flagging tape, which is always nice. The south entrance is also opened up from the re-growth and marked with a rock cairn.
