The location and distance of this portage is correct on this website. This portage was chainsawed cleared by a WCPP tech crew, only a hour before me, so it was an easy walk for me. I could still smell the cut wood chips. No stopping to clear trees. I did find the west entrance hard to find when going east, so I cleared out some willow/tag alder and hung orange flagging tape. Now easier to spot from the creek. The area is still recovering from the last forest fire, so expect the smaller post fire jack pine to grow back quick.
