*2024 Update*: The roots of the small burnt jack pine are not rotting away, so these trees are falling over. I took the time and cleaned up this portage by pushing these trees over to the side so this portage should be good for the next few years (see my photos). Marked and easy to find at both ends. 2022: The fire of 2021 burned this portage again and took out all the smaller jack pines that were growing back from the 2016 fire. It is now cleaned up and marked with more rock cairns so should be easy to follow.

Decent portage when we did it. Very steep downhill into Welkin Lake.
