The 2021 fire re-burned this area so all the small re-growth are now black dead sticks. It was clear when I did it in 2025, but I would guess most of these trees will come down in the next wind storm. I pushed over a bunch of these trees at the north entrance so that should be clear for a number of years. Rock cairns mark this portage so the trail is easy to follow.
