I was travelling north in 2025, so found this portage starting in the floating bog on the south side. There is a fork about 150m in...take the trail up the rocky ridge on the east side. It is marked with orange flagging tape so easy to spot. The old trial goes along the low spot between the ridges. This section over the ridges is well marked with rock cairns and cut logs. The Park must have chainsawed this recently. It is up and down with some steep sections., but overall, not so bad. I also marked the north entrance with blazes and rock cairns, so easy to spot from the water.
