*2025 Update*: I had time this year and made the trail wider by cutting back the new jack pine and balsam growth. There were only a few trees down that had to be cut away. Passable now. *2024* Update: The underbrush is growing back quick from the 2016 fire, but still easy to find at both ends. The 2021 fire did not burn this area. I recall only a few trees to step over. It was late in the day so I did not have time to clean up the portage and knock back the new jack pine/balsam. Hopefully next year I have time if I paddle through here.
