I was paddling south on this route and found the entrance easily on the north side on a granite peninsula. I added a rock cairn to make even easier. This portage and whole area was burned bad in 2021, so very wide open. It starts on the north side along a granite ridge and then drops down into a low lying swamp/bog that was dry when I walked it. I marked the south entrance with orange flagging in the bushes and around a large standing dead tree. Not many paddlers use this route.
