I could find no evidence of this portage and could only guess that it used to be on the east side of the creek...that seemed to make the most sense? Like everything else, this area was burned again in 2021. I basically just bushed-whacked my way over the small ridge on the east side and continued paddling north. Many downed trees on the south side that I had to climb over and around. This will need to be re-built by the Park with some chainsaws. To help, I did cut out a fallen tree blocking the creek when approaching from the south.
