I had difficulty finding this portage when paddling north, but once I did, I was able to find the old pre-fire path. I cleared all the dead fall out of the way with a handsaw and made both entrances more visible with rock cairns and orange flagging. As needed, I also added some orange flagging to mark the way. Not many paddlers have been using this route since the last forest fire.
