As part of my quest to see all the portages in WCPP, I made a half day detour north to see this first of four portages into Haggart Lake. This portage was burned again in 2021, and it seemed to have been used in the last year or so. I found enough rock cairns to mark the "path" and improved both entrances also with rock cairns, so easier to find. The north side has a large group of standing burnt black trees, so expect those to eventually to start falling over once the roots rot away, and making a mess of things.
