Woodland Caribou Portage 20298

When paddling south I went by this portage on the creek and had to paddle back to find it. I brushed back some tag alder and added a tree blaze, so it should be easier to now find. I also made the south entrance more visible by brushing it out and re-blazing a large jack pine. When paddling north, the tree stump on the north side of the creek with some flagging tape is gone, so look for an area that has the grass flatten down, and a narrow trail leading to the tree line.

Exactly as indicated by the previous comment. Hard to spot from the bog / creek when heading north. Involves walking north for about 40 meters on bog before rising and falling through unburned forest. Very obvious once you find it.

This portage is somewhat tricky to spot heading north. It starts in the long grass. Look for some old flagging around a 3 foot high cut off stump. There is a bit of a steep descent when heading north but nothing too challenging.
