I walked this portage in 2026 as part of an out-and-back canoe from Simeon Lake, just to see this portage. It is on the map and I wanted to see every portage in the Park. It was not hard to find and I took the time to fresh up the tree blazes at both entrances. I don't think the Park maintain this, so someone else must be. I found a few trees chainsawed out of the way. I don't think the canoe route west to the Bloodvein is maintained, so it might not be worth the effort to use.
