In 2026, I visited this portage, and the one to the west into Pickerel Lake, as part of my quest to see/walk every portage listed on the WCPP Chrismar Map. This route does not go anywhere, so I was surprised to find this portage in great shape with hardly any trees down and a well worn trail. This portage must be maintained by trappers who have historical trap lines in the Park. There is a small overturned aluminum skiff at the west entrance to the portage.
